Shirodhara therapy that involves gently pouring liquids over the forehead. The name comes from the words shiro (head) and dhara (flow). The liquids used in shirodhara depend on what is being treated, but it include oil, milk, buttermilk, coconut water, or even plain water.

Shirodhara has been used to treat a variety of conditions including stress, eye diseases, sinusitis, greying of hair, hair-fall, memory loss, insomnia, hearing impairment, tinnitus, vertigo, tension headache, and many neurological disorders.

There are specialized forms of shirodhara called ksheeradhara, takradhara, taildhara and jaladhara.

 

Kati Basti / Janu Basti:-

Kati Basti is a treatment used for lower backache and disorders of lumbosacral region, including slip disc, lumbar spondylitis, sciatica, spinal problems etc. Kati Basti is a part of external oleation (Snehana) therapy.

Janu basti is also the same procedure but only area of application is both knee joints. Janu basti is for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and degeneration of knee joints.

Griva basti is another similar procedure like Kati Basti, but only area of application is cervical region. Griva basti is for cervical spondylitis.

Netra Means Eyes and tarpana Means Nourishment.

Netra Tarpana is specialized treatment for eye disorders i.e. Refractive errors, Dry eyes, Watery eyes, Eye strain, Night blindness, Ptosis, Stiffness and roughness of the eye, corneal ulcers.

Netra Tarpana acts as both preventive and curative therapy for maintaining healthy condition of eyes. Netra Tarpana is a procedure wherein lukewarm medicated ghee is made to stay in the eyes for a specific time in a specific formed frame.
