Baldevji Thakor’s case
Ahmedabad,Gujarat based Ayurbhav Clinic has been treating serious liver diseases for a long time.

The patient’s name is Baldevji Thakor, age 63 years, who lives in Pardhol village near Gandhinagar was diagnosed with a serious liver disease called cirrhosis of liver.

- Loss of appetite
- Anemia
Due to this condition his son named Rajubhai Thakor consulted a family physician and then he was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver by sonography.
The treatment was started according to the patient’s condition at that time.

- Protein infusion
- Tapping for ascitic fluid
Thus symptomatic treatment had been given, and medications reduced the symptoms.
That relief was for a while, as it was a symptomatic treatment, after some time the same symptoms occurred again and again to Baldevji Thakor.
So finally the patient was referred to the Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad for further treatment of liver disease. At the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, he was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and was advised to undergo a liver transplant.
Liver transplant is a complex procedure and also expensive.
Such aspects of the patient’s physical, mental, as well as financial situation are very important in a liver transplant.
And that’s why the relatives of the patient started looking for other alternatives.
